Not everyone gains weight, but some people do. It also depends on the type of bc pills you're on. I've never gained weight on them but I know of others who have.

it depends on how much hormones are it in.. if its a high dose or not.. the higer the dose it makes you hungry therefore leading to you gaining weight.. the pill itself doesnt not make somone magically gain weight

hope that helps :)

I had a bad reaction to Ovcon 35--severe water retention that caused my weight to go up 20 lb. in 1 month (I'm not kidding). My feet and legs and knees were so swollen it hurt to even clean house. It was almost all water weight though this pill made me ravenous as well. I'm almost 8 months off it, my hormones are still imbalanced but my water retention is much better, and I've lost 12 lb. now. On other pills, I didn't notice a weight change.

It totally depends. When I was on Levora I gained weight, but switched to Ortho Evra, which has been fine.

They say that the pill doesn't cause weight gain, and even if you do for whatever reason gain weight, it should be more than 3-4lbs.
I've been on OTC Lo for 2 years and I gained about 8lbs or so. I never had major weight issues before, and now since i started taking it I have obviously gained, and my hands, fingers, arms, legs feel soooooo swollen sometimes (especially when I first get up in the morning).
They can say whatever they want about it, but I know for a fact that I wouldn't have gained any weight if I didn't start taking the pill.

Like everyone else metioned, it depends on the type of pill you're taking. But there is definitely a chance that you may gain some.
