View Full Version : Plastic Like Noise in Ears???

My ears have been blocked for quite a while now, not completely, but enough to sometimes drive me insane. I'm not sure if it's wax or not, I have a lot of sinus problems though so it may be that. When I swallow, my ears make a ticking sound. When I massage my ear or right beside it where the jaw line is, I hear a plastic noise, like I'm scrunching up a plastic bag. Is that wax? I've swished my ears several times with warm water for about 20 minutes per ear, and nothing comes out. Sometimes when I yawn, it'll feel like it's opened..but not enough because I still get that ticking sound every time I swallow. Then it goes right back again, sometimes worse than ever. I haven't gone to a doctor or anything yet because I'm afraid of what they'll do, I hate the feeling of people messing with my ears and I was hoping I could do it myself. Any suggestions on what I can try, what do you think it is??

I have the exact same thing with the clicking noice and the plastic bag type noice when I massage my right ear around the jaw line. This has been going on since April and it's been driving me crazy. I think it might be wax, but I'm not sure. Do you have any pressure or pain?

i have/ had this and the movement/noise from touching my ear or jaw is from myoclonus of the middle ear i had both tendons cut in my right ear and one in the left.
