OK, I'm sure this is what my doctor said I have.

About 6 years ago I took a blow to the nose, it wasn't broke or anything, just painfull. Anyway, ever since I've had this problem where each of my nostrils takes turns to be partially blocked. My doctor got me to try numerous different types of nasal sprays but none of them worked, so I was refered to an ENT specialist. He said the only solution would be to trim the lining of my nose. At the time I was just about to start a new job and affriad of surgery so I said "no thanks".

Now, for the last 3 years or so I've had this major problem where I have to keep clearing my throat, sometimes to the point where I'm getting really bad headaches, and it annoys everyone I'm with. If I'm talking for more than a few minutes without clearing my throat I start to lose my voice. One thing I have to point out though, I very rarely need to spit out any phlem.

I've been back to the doctor this morning who's asking me to try another nasal spray before I am refered back to a specialist, who's likely going to suggest surgery.

What I want to know is, does anyone know anything or anyways to ease it all, the headaches are horrible and I've got to try this nasal spray for 2 month, so that's 2 month of headaches and coughing.

If your headaches are sinus pressure related. The only relief that can be generated if you are not draining properly is from the use of decongestants to dry up the mucus and an anti-histamine to prevent the generation of new mucus administered on a daily basis.

Temporary relief can be achieved through the use of nasal saline sprays every 2-4 hours through out the day, hot showers (15 minute duration minimum), and accupressure of the frontal and maxillary sinus cavities.

Migraines tend to require sleep in a dark quiet room to relieve if you have not been prescribed a medicine.

Sincerely
MG

I think the headache I'm getting are coming from the vibrations from clearing my throat and coughing all the time.
