Is this sick feeling a new symptom or does it only occur when you have the shot?

Unfortunately with Depo, there is nothing you can do. Once you get the shot, you have to wait for the 3 months to pass and then never get the shot again. That's why I keep telling everyone NOT to get the shot, because if it makes you sick or you have some adverse effects, there is literally NOTHING you can do until the shot wears out of your system.
And for some women, unfortunately, the side effects can last for a long time after their shot expires. That's why it's such a crappy idea to get the shot in the first place. I don't reccommend it to anyone for any reason ever. I think it should be banned from being prescribed at all. I can't understand why, when there is so much information out there about how BAD the shot is for women, they still insist on getting it anyway. It's just not a good idea.
Try some mylanta or something. Drink a lot of ginger ale. There's really not much else you can do at this point, because you already got the shot so it's too late to take it back. At least with the pill, you can stop taking it if needed, but not so with the shot.

Hi,
I had the same sick to the stomach feeling when the shot started wearing off. It's probably going to last for a few weeks till all the depo is compelety out of your system and you have to factor that your hormones will be out of balance for a while too. The best things that helped me getting though the sick part was drinking alot of water, excerising more and tums and crackers. I hope the sick feeling passes soon for you.:)

I was on depo for about 2 years, many years ago and when I stopped taking it I was very sick for about 3 mths! I had horrible headaches, pains in my stomach, sick to my stomach, it was horrible. I found out that the depo shot was once given to dogs, but vet's and because of health problems they stop giving it to them and well now give it to us humans...nich huh???? I hope you start to feel better soon :)

Depo is very strong. It's not unusual to have strange withdrawal symptoms after quitting. It's just like withdrawal from any other drug, you're going to have symptoms. There's not much you can do about it except let it pass through your system.
You should be helping it along by ensuring that you drink plenty of water, as well as taking a strong multivitamin in addition to an extra zinc and magnesium supplement and an Omega 3-6. Your body was drastically depleted of necessary nutrients while you were on Depo. What you are feeling now is your body rebelling from lacking these nutrients. It's vital that you replenish that once you quit to help your body heal.
It's going to take time, but the sooner you start with loading up on these depleted nutrients, the sooner your body can heal from the drastic damage you have done from being on Depo.
