Hi:wave:

I have had some odd things happening over a few years, have gone to the doctor(heart palpitations and joint pain...didn't mention any of the other stuff...felt like he wasn't listening anyway!!!) but just got a huge bill and no answers!!!! He sent me away and told me I had INDIGESTION!!!

I had these "episodes" about 3-4 times a year of flashing lights(both eyes) and blind spots and feeling kind of like I am in a tunnel. No migraine afterwards. They lasted for about 20-30 minutes maybe. Then I had a few instances of vertigo. One lasted for a few days. It was horrible. I felt like I was not quite here, like my head was somewhere distant.(hard to explain). Then I had several occasions of waking up with a horrible dread feeling, no shortness of breath, just like my brain was somewhere distant. I also have "inner tremor" and feel nauseated. We thought maybe I was having panic attacks. I have also experienced a "crawling sensation" on my nose several times. I also have a short term memory problem and can't remember the right words and forget where I am going or how to get there.
In August I had an incident on the highway, while driving. That morning I had a very uneasy feeling in my stomach and felt very nauseated. While driving I felt "detached"(so hard to explain) somehow like I was going to pass out but didn't. Or like I was going to have convulsions. It was extremely weird!! I pulled over and got out. Not sure how long it took to pass. Thought maybe it was blood sugar....no. I have had some bad headaches..constant and continuous. Had a very, very bad one a couple weeks ago and ended up in bed for the day. It did not go away, though eased up, and I still have head pain.

Anyway....anybody experience stuff like this? I know I need to see a doctor but make me feel like I am crazy:mad: If it is my nerves then I want him to tell me so!!!!

Any help greatly appreciated!

You should see him again and tell him all this stuff, this could be serious. Perhaps something happened to your neck spine. the Flashing lights could be carotid arteries... but I do know that sometimes that can mean something might have happened inside your eye, so perhaps go see an eye doc... a real one.. not the kind that are in the malls and stuff or like stein optial.. go see a real opthomologist or optomotrist (i'm not sure which one is which)... and as for your other seemingly neuro problems you can go see a neurologist for this.. but it definatly sounds like you should start getting some scans and xrays done to rule out what this problem could be. Be firm about this if you have to be.. you have the right to have these tests done. But if I were in your possition, I would ask for an xray of the neck and a Cat Scan and MRI of the head and neck... also an MRA of the head and neck to make sure the arteries are okay. What I'm saying might be excessive, but its also better to know than to be sorry. Speak to your doc about your concerns and see what tests would be appropriate or what you want done. He may even want to do labs on you to see if your levels are okay. Good Luck to you and God Bless!

Hello my name is marlene and I being suffering from panick attack for years, I had the same symptoms you have, mine start with palpitations one day at the store, my stomach feel weird, trembling and I had the feeling like I'm going to pass out, then because I was scared I start having pain in my muscles, pressure in my head because I start getting anxiety about my feelings, after a lot of tests.I went to anxiety classes that help me a lot, I listen to tapes before going to sleep, I'm still fighthing with that but I feel better now, you have to go to a doctor and make sure you get MRI, blood test just to make sure is nothing else.
take care.

I think your on the right track with seizures. Not sure what kind of seizure you would be having, a neurologist would. You could get an MRI to rule out any tumors, or anything like that but you would want and EEG for seizures., or SPECT scan. I would definately go see a neurologist about it, asap. Recently, I've experienced these deja-vu followed by anxiety attack episodes over the past year and a half. I had no idea what it was, or how to explain it to anyone. I really didn't tell anyone about it for a long time, until I mentioned it to my psychologist and she said it sounded like an anxiety attack, which I've never had before prior to those episodes. Recently I looked up anxiety attack/deja-vu in the search criteria in yahoo and a link came up for a forum so I clicked on it. The lady had described almost everthing I had experienced and someone had replied to her post and told her to check out temporal lobe seizures, so I did. On a website for temporal lobe seizure, one of the symptoms was deja-vu experience, and being that its followed by an anxiety attack makes it even more interesting and convincing. It wasn't just deja vu, everyone gets deja vu. It was actual parts of my dreams that happened in real life, not specific details but the gist of a certain part of the dream would happen in real life and when it would occur to me that it was in my dream that is when I would get the anxiety attack. It was weird. But it sounds to me like thats what your experiencing, seizures, you should check it out. Hope you find what your looking for., let me know what you find.

Brenda
