You know when you wake up at night with that horrible itchy feeling up your nose caused by allergies such as dust mite....

Well in the past when my nose has been really itchy I have rubbed my nose fairly hard on top to stop the itch. What I want to know is can rubbing your nose damage your septum, could that of caused my deviated septum?

So is no one going to answer my question?

After doing a search on the search engine (above, on this page), I found out that up to 80% of the population has a deviated septum, although most remain asymptomatic from it. Another cause is trauma (like the kind that would break the nose, i.e. baseball or fist). I don't KNOW that rubbing the nose would cause it, but I highly doubt it.

^^Thanks, yes I have read that before.

I was thinking that rubbing your nose fairly hard would damage your septum. I mean it can't be that strong if 80% of the population have a deviated septum. I read that even picking your nose a lot can do some damage.lol
