Hi, Ive read a few of the posts on the board to see if anything I was experiencing matched another post but I didnt find anything exaclty like it. For about 2 months now Ive been going on without a full nights rest. Im waking up in the middle of the night for no apparent reason and cant fall back to sleep for another hour or so. Also, Im unable to stay asleep for more then 6 hours or so. Somtimes when I wake up also, my head and eyes hurt. Basically I dont get that relaxed and revived feeling I used to get when I woke up, when I was able to sleep for 8 hours or more. Im just looking for a way to get back to that because its extremely hard for me to run anymore without proper sleep.
Thank you in advance

Amell,
Are you currently on any medication: prescription or over-the-counter?

Amell, welcome to the boards! You may want to also consider consulting a sleep specialist.

Amoxycillin shouldn't affect your sleep. Quite often the waking-in-the-middle-of-the-night type insomnia is related to medication (like antidepressants).
Unfortunately, I can't help. Sorry. Hopefully, someone else here will have some ideas.

After being pregnant and having a baby.. I suddenly couldn't sleep more than an hour straight.. no dreams, chronic fatigue, inability to lose weight, additional weight gain, increased illness rate.. you get the picture.
Anyway turns out I had severe sleep apnea, the pregnancy weight gain amplified it and aggrevated it. Now I am on a CPAP, have had my tonsils and adnoids removed, as well as my sinuses roto-rootered. Your should consult a sleep doctor and get their opinion. You may not need a sleep study, but if they recommend it do it. I never knew what a normal nights sleep was.. I was the night owl and early bird. I even sleep walked about the house cleaning when I was asleep. Now all that is over, I can sleep for 6-8 hours straight and only wake up prematurely when my 4 year old cannon balls my chest in the morning.
Best wishes on you finding a solution.
