Ok here it is. I have always a little problem with sleep. It use to be i would be fine for like a month or so. Then all the sudden i would have 2 wks the i would have problems going to sleep and staying to sleep. That would come and go for a while. Then in 2004 i got pregnant and about 3 months into it had just had horrible problems sleeping. Since i was pg i just thought it was due to that. Well she is now 2 years old and i still can't sleep. I have troubles falling asleep and when i finally do i can't stay asleep. I will wake every few hours or so. I wake every morning just feeling exhausted and have no energy. I am really tired of it. I have talked with 2 doctors on this matter. The first one just said take out the caffiene and gave me some lunesta. Which neither worked. Then the 2nd didn't seem to care to much, but put me on ambein and did blood test which all where fine. Which helped but once i had been off of it for awhile the problem just came back. I don't know what to do any more. I am so tired of feeling thing way. When i am at home i don't want to do anything but lay around because i am so tired. I feel so bad for my DD because i don't play with her like should. I really just want this to stop. Anyone have any ideas.

Almost identical to me! I had severe sleep apnea, which was amplified due to the weight gain of my pregnancy 2002.
I woke up every hour on the hour, stopped dreaming, was chronically fatigued and as a result not a nice person to be around. I couldn't lose my pregnancy weight.. could only slowly gain weight. Got and stayed sicker.. the list goes on. But all of these symptoms point to sleep apnea. It took five GP's for one to say,"Hey! I would bet my business that you have sleep apnea.. go and get tested.(2005)" Well after a consultation and two night sleep study.. I was confirmed to have severe sleep apnea, given a CPAP and began to sleep through the night uninterrupted until my 4 your old decided to come and jump on me in the morning.
Best of luck to you, get yourself checked out.
Sincerely,
MG

Thanks for your info. What is a CPAP? I am not very familiar with sleep apnea.

The CPAP is a air pressure regulator that normally has an attached humidifing reservoir which pressurized air is passed over, into a five foot tube and into a mask that you wear over your nose and mouth or just nose. This forces pressurized air flow into your airways preventing any collapsing and startling in the night which interrupts your sleep pattern. A quick google search on CPAP-sleep apnea should yield all the additional information you might need.
