talk about turning to custard

first my T and my doctor tell me that life expectancy ISNT reduced being underweight even though i had told them i was excited at the motivation of getting healthy. how dumb can they be for God's sake

then the ceremonial burning of skinny clothes turned to crap...hubby said that because i had ONE MOMENT when i said ONE TINY ed thought, he criticised me and said "i knew you'd never change" and wont help me do it

i am effing furious. this was a really big step for me and now once again i feel unsupported by him

Oh my gosh...that makes me so mad that your husband said that. Wow. Please, do NOT take that comment seriously. You know you CAN change, and you ARE making huge progress by burning your skinny jeans and vowing to move towards recovery. Tell your husband that recovery does not happen overnight; it takes time. I am soooo proud of you for taking the steps that you have taken, and you should be very proud of yourself as well.

You know, I felt the same way towards my dad during my recovery. He called me a pig when he saw me eating only two weeks after being discharged from the ED inpatient treatment facility. I was so upset.

Do not let this interfere with your recovery. Stay motivated! You will always have me and the rest of us here to support you!

Take care,
Kelley

Dear presson,

Your husband really dropped the ball on this one. I know that you heard the saying "actions speak louder............?" If you can depend on him for some things and not for others, that is extremely unfortunate. Just show him what you are made of; that you are that strong person that is going to make it with or without his help. He will eventually get the message.

Take care and God Bless. Love and Peace. For the masses only.
