I had a risky encounter. This is going to sound absolutely stupid, but please bare with me. I was kind of in a 'public place', and ended up having sex with a condom. Problem was it was difficult to discard the condom where I was, so I pulled up my pants quickly and decided to go to my car and take it off outside. When I got to the car, I realized that the condom already slipped off. I didn't think about it too much until after. My concern is, my penis certainly rubbed against my underwear which was in direct contact with the outside of the condom (which of course was exposed to the vagina) after it slipped off. Or, it's possible that when it came off, my penis may have touched the outside of the condom. I am now freaking out!

Obviously this is probably not as great a risk as actual penetration without a condom, but is there a realistic chance that residue on the outside of the condom could have infected me if it rubbed against my underwear and my penis rubbed against the underwear alse, or if my penis slightly rubbed against the outside of the condom before it came off? Please note that the condom did have non 9 on it.

I am not just worried about HIV...anything scares me right now. I know this was abolsolutely dumb, but could infection REALISTICALLY take place this way? Thanks.

Calm down, your safe, STD’s and HIV do not live out side the body. The chances of contracting some thing are nil. These bugs like it warm, cosy and moist. the most you are likley to get is a rash from the condom lube.

Just to clarify: both the syphillis chancre and the herpes pustulus are generally external and can spread the disease but only if you come in contact with the pustule or the chancre. Otherwise, I agree with Another Guy, you're OK. chris
