Hi everyone, ok this hard to explain. But lately my heart does this weird thing. Will beat normally and then there will be a long pause for like 2 seconds and then my heart will beat normally again and do that pause thing again...

I looked up the signs of heart attacks and stuff. I have had sme of those signs but I have never actually had a heart attack... Can the heart attack signs also be similiar to non heart attack stuff???

Hello - only a doc can tell you if you have had a heart attack, but the pause thing sounds much like a PVC (premature ventricular contraction). Your heart will feel like it pauses and the next beat feels stronger and then it begins to beat normally, but can pause, etc. in the pattern off and on. If it is PVC's, your doctor will want to do tests to rule out any problems, and if not, then like most of us who have these, you will be told, "not to worry," as PVC's in themselves are not supposed to be dangerous. I was finally put on a medication to releive the symptoms, and it has helped a lot.

Hey :wave: thanks for your response. It does sound like what you had said. The pause then the beat after the pause a bit stronger. I don't mind it aslong as it isn't serious and life threatening. That is what I was afraid of... :eek: Otherwise I can put up with it. I shall see a doctor though.
