I take calcium and vitamin supplements and my finger nails break off and peel. Once they get to the tip of my finger they break. I've tried those hardening polishes, but they don't work. Any suggestions?

Calcium supplements are perfect for your BONES, but not for your nails. Nail strengtheners work by depleating the natural oil and moisutre levels in the nail plate in order to make the nails appear harder but this, in fact, actually makes the nails more prone to breakage.

Our nails are inherited, just like our skin and hair are genetic to our parents and ancestors. If thier nails were thin and weak, ours will be too. Try eating a good balanced diet with lots of protein and drink lots of water. The nail plate is comprised of tons of long amino acid chains that contain mainly proteins.
