my child will sometimes complain of loud noises. she is 5. she said it doesnt hurt, but she gets annoyed at the sounds. it seems she is extra sensitive to loud sounds on occasion. anyone one else experience this?

Please get her hearing checked if you can. I have been oversensitive to loud noise for my entire life and it has caused me a lot of distress. I think it is called hyperacusis, or sometimes it has to do with how the ear canal is shaped. It would just help you (and ultimately, your daughter) to know if there is physically something wrong as opposed to her just being neurotic.
