I was watching the Discovery Channel this past week. I watched two stories that discussed head trama victims retraining their brains to rewire balance/eye function.
One man had been hit in the head with a falling ladder. Due to the impact to his brain, he had balance issues, and was sent to VRT/PT to work on improving his balance.
One woman was in a bob sled accident (she was on the olympic team)...and they wired electrodes to her brain so that she could control a video game by using her brain (retraining function).
I found this very interesting...because I tell my family it feels as though I have brain damage.
Any thoughts?
