Hi all, just wondering if i sinus trouble, as i dont have any facial or head pain but the inside of my nose feels sore and i have lots of mucus dripping into my throat and it is yellow and blood streaked, could it be an infection even though there is no pain
kind regards

Yellow and green drainage down the back of the throat is a sign of the presense of infected mucus. Bleeding/Blood can be a sign of irritation. Dryness or ruptured blood vessels in your sinuses. Sinus pressure is not always present, but it is a dominant trait. Fevers of 100.4 to 101 are also indicative of a sinus infection. You should probably go and get checked out. A simple CBC could tell if you are fighting a bacterial or viral infection quickly.
Sincerely,
MG

No problem. Some times I feel that my family is sinus problem central. I learned of the test interpretations from my sister who graduated top of her class from medical school, and now is a well respected practicing doctor. Many times the MDs will blow off sinus trouble as environmental or transition.. expecting you to recover on your own. However there are those of us that are or were structurally challenged in the sinuses.. resulting in guaranteed sinus infections. When blown off the infections get worse and is much harder to treat. By going in and saying I may not have had these symptoms for the text book 7 days, but you can pull blood and see if it is infection now. If it is treat it now, so less anti-biotics can be used.
Best of luck.
