Does anyone know if the morning after pill is offered over the counter in drug stores, or if you need a prescription?
Thanks,
Meg.

Well I have read in the news they are planning to sell it in drug stores but I don't know if they are doing that yet. Just go to any clinic if you have a medical coupon, they'll have it there on hand. If you have more higher income insurance, go to the place you normally go to for check ups. And get it as soon as you can! You have about 5 days from which you had unprotected sex, and the sooner the better!

You actually have no more than 72 hours... In the US, you still have to have a prescription for it. If you call a place like Planned Parenthood, sometimes they can call in a prescription for you if you promise to come in for a follow up visit.

I just saw on the news today at noon that it was approved here in the states to be sold OTC. Some pharmacies wont carry it where others will. It is called Plan B. Also some pharmacies havent gotten there shipment yet.
