Has anyone tried drinking tea with senna? It seems likes it's in a lot of weight loss teas. I have no idea what it is exept a quick search says that it's a laxitive.
Some herbs can hurt you system so I would just like to know some background or if anyone has tried it.

Senna is just like a stimulant laxative. It is the active ingredient in some commercial laxatives (or used to be, at least). Like any stimulant laxative, it can become habit forming.

ker,
Don't do it. As Judy says, senna is a potent laxative and prone to abuse and dependency.
The safer of these teas contain diuretic herbs which can help with water weight...but even these pose some risk.
Combining diuretics and laxatives can be the start of a road that ends in bulemic behavior.
And ultimately, dumping water weight and emptying your bowels may give you a nicer number on the scale but not an ounce of fat has been actually lost and your bowel and water stores will rapidly fill up again.
