View Full Version : Small lumps on lower head/neck

My ds had a very small lump on the back of his head a couple inches above the neck. This was quite a few months ago, I asked the Doc and he had no concern and said it was a swollen lymph. This morning I noticed he has another in the same place just on the other side of his head. They are about the size of a small pea. The only thing that doesn't have me completely panicked is that they are in basically the same spot on both sides of the lower head. I am really worried about it though. Is this normal? Any thoughts would help me. Thank you.

My 3 mo old dd has them too. I asked her doc and he told me the same thing. He said as long as they (the lymph noid) moves around easily, doesn't feel attached, doesnt get bigger and sore then it is fine.

Thanks so much for your reply, I feel better. Ds has an appt Friday to get his second flu shot so I will have him double check. I didn't want to wait till then and worry. Thanks again.

Same thing here (as long as it doesn't get bigger, etc etc). Though I haven't even noticed it lately. Now I'm going to check when she wakes up. LOL
