Hi everyone! I had a LEEP in May for CIN III. I had unclear margins but then had a normal result for my first 3 month follow-up pap smear. I just had my second 3 month follow-up pap smear last week and I am nervous, worried, scared, etc. again. I think the waiting is the worst part of all of this!

I will let you know my results. My prayers go out to everyone on this board!

Just got a call from the doctor. My results were normal. :D

I wanted to post my results to provide encouragement to others going through the same thing. I had severe dysplasia (diagnosed from my colposcopy) and then unclear margins after my LEEP this past May. I have now had two normal pap smears since the surgery. I don't feel that I am "out of the woods" completely as I know that the dysplasia can come back. However, for the first time in a long time, I feel like myself. My next appointment is in March! Yippeee!!!! Three months of mental rest!!!!

That is SO awesome!! I had CINIII/carcinoma in situ as well, and my LEEP of 10/10 did not give me clear margins. My GYN has me going in for a cone (cold knife) this Friday. I'm ok with the cone, I guess, but anyway, it is SO great to hear about people with unclear margins who later get clear paps. It really goes a long way to make those of us in similar situations feel better! Thanks for giving us hope! :)
