hello
i just read your follow up to my post about the weird sensations. Yes i get these..thats how i know my heads gonna start hurting..my eye starts to feel funny then my head pounds..the burning you described..and the tickly feeling.
If you say you have no curve me either!!! i was told by chiro that its caused possible from birth. if you are jammed in the womb that certain cervical bone cant form right therefore it cant curve..all babies are born like this but when they start crawling and lifting their heads thats when the curve develops..i talked to my mom about this and i was 11 pounds when born i was "stuck" in the womb and couldnt move. i was double footed breach. so we put 2 and 2 together and came to the conclusion that this is why i have no curve...anything like that happen to you?
i did have my MRI yesterday..dr called this morning and i have a herniated disc..they are sending me to a specialist. i can feel bones rubing together when i turn my head. its a sick feeling that makes me sick to my stomach.

Hi Michelle, sorry just read your post today, I just went for a lumbar MRI Wednesday, don't know results yet. I have a bulging disk at C-3, one doc says that this isn't the problem with my headaches, the other (pain management doc) says yes. I dunno. But I started getting these neckache/headaches 8 years ago, about 3 months after a minor fender bender. Then 6 years ago the facial tingling started, they wanted to do a brain MRI then, but I had no insurance. Then in 2001, thats when I started googling, and its been down hill since. I am frightened that I have MS, cause my gram had it, but my mom and grandfather, both have migraines, have had them since they were young, so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. My brain MRI was normal, the c-spine showed the disk, never had the thoracic one, doc says no "MS", because there is no weakness, numbness, or any other MS symptoms, and my neuro exam was good, so I don't know if my weird feelings are from migraines, MS, or just plain old "anxiety". Do you ever get ear pain when your neck hurts? My ear used to bother me bad, but after I got trigger point injections, it went away. Sorry so late at getting back to you, talk again soon, Jen

I am thinking that your migraines are indeed caused from your neck. nerves get pinched there and from what you are explaining to me about the pain sounds like nerve pain just like in my. i know for sure nerves are damaged because a chiro picked it up. Yeah my ear hurts tremendously. especially behind it. They pop alot too.
And i must say i think you are my long lost sister becuase my mother and grandfather also suffered migraines. The only thing different between mine and theirs is that theirs were all over their head and mine isnt. mine is just on the one side. it burns and pounds then all the sudden its gone. it never starts out as a dull headache then gets worse. it just starts intense!!!! and then stops abrubtly. its weird.

Michelle, My migraines are on the left side, they start in my shoulder and go up to behind my ear, and I can feel the pain also above my left eyebrow. My ear hurts inside like an earache, do you ever get weird feelings on the migraine side of your face? I do, its awful. Can a neck problem even cause these sensations in your face? Some people say no, its a cranial nerve, and others say yes. I dunno. But if someone could tell me for sure that this is a problem because of my neck, I would feel much better, but first they also have to convince me of it, LOL. I get all kinds of weird feelings, everywhere, and I wrote in on the Med-Help website and the neuro there responded and said that he doubts MS, because of the symptoms and testing, but he said its migraine related although I don't have the migraine while I have the feelings. Weird, hard to believe, I was in bed yesterday all day with a terrific burning, throbbing headache, today its still there, but not as bad. Trying to get my Christmas tree up, fun, fun!!!! Talk again soon!!!
