I have been having pain in both my shoulders, and arms. Not radiating but just pains, little annoying pains. Also my my muscles just above my armpits are like sore or feel burning. Sometimes my neck hurts and burns and my back shoulder blades. Could this be all connected? I was worried about heart cuz Im 60 but now Im more worried about spinal. What does anybody think. Please write.

Hi, your problems could be cervical. You should go to doc and at minimum have an xray to look for alignment and bone type issues (spurs). Then the doc can decide if you need an MRI. Most likely if it is your neck levels it is probably being caused somewhere in the C4-7 range, in case you want to search info on what those symptoms are. You can check out dermatome maps and see what levels cause pain in what parts of your body.

I am also having the pains that you are talking about. I had been having the problem for a several years. After several x-rays and being told it was just arthritis, I went to another doctor who ordered an MRI. I believe the MRI is the only way to find out for sure about your problem. But unless someone has been through the pain of cervical problems, they just don't know the pain it causes. I would ask your primary physician to order a MRI & refer you to a Neuro surgeon. Good luck

Sue
