Hi, I originally started getting acid reflux as a result of singing from the added intra abdominal pressure. I've had it for 6 years and basically been to all my doctors and tried all my options.
I was looking at fundoplication as a last resort and curious if I would be able to sing after because I think it is recommended that you avoid intra-abdominal pressure after the operation to decrease the possibility of failure... so would that eliminate the possibility of singing? (it's important enough to me that I would have the procedure if it were merely a possibility that I would be able to sing again).
I was also wondering about regurgitation... if you've had the procedure can you still get sick? Wouldn't it be disasterous if you came down with the flu or food poisoning and needed to get sick?
If anyone has any info on this please let me know, thanks!
