I was just diagnosed with a mild condition of scabies by a doctor today. It's going to be a pain getting rid of this.

Question: I had plans to go out of town on saturday and sunday, which means I would be using someone else's bed. I was planning on applying the cream when I returned from work tonight (Friday, Dec 1st). The treatment is applying it and leaving it on for 12 - 14 hours, then washing it off.. Which leaves just enough time to go out of town on Saturday.

Does the cream kill the critters while its on? When is it safe to use someone else's bed without giving them an infestation?

Please reply ASAP! I need to make a decision! :)

Ok, i decided not to go.. even though the cream may have cured me, there is still the chance that it didn't work entirely, so I will go next weekend.

Anyone had any experiences with this problem? Suggestions/stories?

The cream should eliminate them on the skin. But they could be in your clothes and still in your bedding. Best thing to do is use the cream and wash all your clothes and bedding at once. Then give a few days and wash your clothes and bedding again and apply the cream again. I would do this for about 2 weeks to make sure all the little bastages are dead. I had scabies once and didn't go to the doctor I treated it at home and washed all my clothes and bedding and it still took a little while for them to go away. You'll still itch for like 2 or 3 weeks after they are dead as your skin repairs itself and gets all the allergens the mites deposited out. Good luck
