View Full Version : 6 Months to Lose weight -- Or i Have to have a liver biopsy

Hi guys,

Got some suck *** news, i went to the hospital today, because of a problem with my liver, caused by my roaccutane tablets i took last year (for my acne)

I was hoping that today it would all be fine, and that my levels would have dropped back to normal, but unfortunately not :(

The Doctor has given me 6 months to lose weight, which he hopes is the reason for my liver problems. If i do not lose the weight, i have to have a liver biopsy to see what the problems are with my liver.

I'm 6 stone over weight, so i guess my diet starts today until the 1st of june next year.

(I just hope that when i do lose the weight, that the problem is because of being overweight, and that i dont need the biopsy anyway :( -- think positive i guess)

Anyways, im thinking about weightwatchers.

Cheers for the support guys! I love this forum

I don't usually believe in weight loss "deadlines", but yours seems to be for a very worthwhile cause. Good job on your weight loss thus far! Did you join WW?

Keep up the good works. Sending you lots of ***no liver biopsy*** vibes.
