Hi, since two days ago I have been having a very weird thing happen in my chest. It only happens maybe a few times a day and lasts for one second. I'll feel a very sudden shutter in my chest like my heart has stopped beating, then it flop back in and I'll burp. I'm not having chest pain, or trouble breathing, but I am having a little light headedness. Can anyone help? I have no clue what's going on here, but I am worried about sudden cardiac death...please help

It's a skip because I took my pulse during one, but it feels like a flutter in my chest...what's pvc? Is it really bad, or can it be fixed?...etc
Thanks for helping :)

they say there not harmfull, they are premature ventrcular contractions, this causes flutters and extra or skipped heat beats, the main cause is stress smoking drinking,in my case they started right after i smoked a joint.i have had many pancin attacks since, never had it untill i smoked.pot does cause this,as long as you are just having a few a day you should be fine,i would go to a doctor, just to be sure, but they said i was fine for years untill i went a-fib and that can cause strokes,if untreated, hope this helps u trust me this **** sucks i no but i whouldnt let it worry you. just go to a doctor. a fib feels just like pvc's but instead of feeling 1 or 2 it never stops you stay in that feeling of futters, and that will and did freak me right out

I do believe that this does sound like a PVC or PAC. However, it is important to discuss this with your doctor. They may have you wear a monitor to catch one on tape so they can make a qualified diagnosis. Usually these things are benign. It is true that any type of stimulant (caffeine, decongestants, diet pills, energy drinks, nicotin..) and alcohol or recreational drugs can trigger them. Even some anti depressants can trigger them. And smoking pot DOES increase your heart rate so while I do believe they can trigger what is already a predisposition to these arrythmias, I do not believe that smoking a single joint one time will CAUSE it. I believe that you likely were predisposed to it and the anxiety provoked the onset which I also believe would have happened eventually even without the weed. JMO.

Your issues with the heart should be checked.......it could be harmless or may need addressed.
but first you must determine what it is........
This is the logical process to determine that...
Have your doctor do an EKG on you.......if nothing comes of it......have them set you up on a halter monitor or event monitor in which you can record or capture these events when they happen.
Get that recording read by a cardiologist......they will determine if further tests are needed..........odds are you are fine.......but start now in cleaning up what you put in your body.........eat healthy and get rid of chemicals and/or stimulants.......over time they can play havoc with the heart and be a possible cause of PAF which you don't want to have if you can avoid it.......
Hope it helps....don't ignor it...get it checked out for peace of mind as well.
