I believe I have a Hernia. I had surgery about one year ago and immediatley got pregnant. My girl is 5 mnths now, but I have this bulge in my surgery wound. It looks like the half of a tennis ball but it is not hard it's just like a small bulge when i try and feel it. Also it does not hurt only after a day of alot working and lifting laundry cooking and picking up my daughter then it is discomforting but at the minimal it can get. Can some one give me some info of what you know about hernias. Thanks.

Hernia's are typically soft. Usuallly if you push on it, it will go back in, but then pop out again when you let go. You have a layer of tissue, just like the kind that is thin and strong that lays over a piece of raw chicken. This is called the fasia. It lays over the muscle under the fat. When it becomes weak or tears the intestines can bulge through it. The reason it's important to get it fixed is because the intestines can become stuck in the whole and it can harm or kill the bowel. The pain can come and go but eventually it will stay. You need to get checked out by a surgen but it does sound like that is what you have.
