My girlfriend and I had been going out for 10 months. When we got sexually active, I was still a virgin, but she had had sex before. We didn't use a condom because she was on birthcontrol. She had been tested many times, and she showed no sign of any STDs or HIV during our relationship. Is it possible for me to possibly have an STD or HIV even though she doesn't have any? She was my first sexual experience both oral and vaginal, but I was not hers. But she doesn't show any sign of STD's or HIV. Any information would be helpful and greatly appreciated!

If you are absolutely sure that she has had an STD panel and a recent HIV test and no sexual partners between the testing dates and your experience, then the answer is "No, you cannot contact an STD from someone who doesn't have and STD." However, because she seems to had a little more experience than you and, unless you are absolutely sure she is a monogamous (that she only has sex with you), then you need to beginnnig wearing a condom. We are talking about your life here. chris
