Hi,
I woke up this morning to really bad pain in my left side. its hard to describe where it is. Its just below my tummy to the left, where i would presume my ovary is.
I am having my period at the moment, but its almost over and it doesn't feel like any sort of period pain ive had before.
It comes in waves, every 30seconds to a minute, and it last for 2-3 seconds, like a really sharp stabbing/throbbing pain, it makes me go 'owww' but then goes. Its not totally unbearable, but hurts.
Im not sure what it is, or what to take, or if i should go to the hospital?
Anyone have any ideas? Thankyou.
Sarah

Sounds to me like an ovarian cyst. Most are simple and just come and go away on their own. Go to your doctor and request a pelvic ultrasound.

It could also be intestinal. When I had my ovarian cyst I had a constant dull ache and bloated feeling and I was surprised at how low your ovaries actually are- more below your hipbone than under your bellybutton, where I suspected. There are a lot of organs in that area so it is very hard to tell where the pain is coming from. See your doctor. Good luck!

That sounds exactly like what I felt when I had an ovarian cyst. You should go to the doctor and get an ultrasound done just in case.
Good luck.
Good luck.
