since wednesday ds has been very niggly and seems to be over tired all day long. I am thinking it is his teeth? wednesday night he was unsettled from 7pm till 11 pm then he slept fine till his usual 630 ish wake up time his sleep has been back to normal every night since and his day time naps have been the same (ds sets his own nap schedule every day - i let him set his routine and it is the same every day).
so now i have had enough of the crying all day it is driving me to distraction. he can still be made to laugh with the usual tricks that make him giggle but he just seems so miserable and i hate seeing him this way. do you think this could be another sign his teeth will be here soon? we have had all the signs of the last 2 months, chewing drooling red cheeks loose bowel movements but to no avail - ds is 9 months next week.:dizzy:

Sounds like teeth. I found the anticipation leading up to them was FAR worse then cutting them. Ava just cut her SECOND one this week and still has two more on the way (almost through!). That will make 6 all together. I can't remember the last time I slept longer then 2 hours at a time. :dizzy:

Yes, the week leading to the actually cutting of the tooth was far worse the actual of the tooth. And when he is miserable, everyone is miserable. He just cut #3 and 4 last week. His BM's were ridiculously foul and loose. I can't count on two hands how many times I got "slimed" this last go round. He is finally through it. I have a strong stomach, but it was "ridiculous".
Make sure to keep his little butt coated with cream during that time. The BM is more acidic and it will eat their little peri area raw. Dalton has only had diaper rash twice, both times with that nasty, teething induced funk. He was raw within a matter of a few hours.

My LO has been teething, but I didn't know it could cause the runny bm's and diaper rash! NOW it all fits. DS never has a rash, but this last week, every bm leaves him raw! We cover with cream of course but it is still tender. For the first time he screamed bloddy murder when I put the cream on. He is cutting 2 pesky molars, where one side of the tooth is in for both teeth but not the other yet. Joy. Good luck to everyone with the teething!
