I have been to see a half dozen of the 'most highly recommended' specialists who cannot seem to diagnose my problem. I'm taking no medications, I don't smoke, chew or drink, (not in 40 years) and have been remarkably healthy until the last 3 months. My job is stressful, but not any more than usual. My relationship with my wife and kids is better than ever, and I don't believe I'm being poisened :). My wife tells me I'm handling the situation remarkably well, but it is and excercise to remain happy, positive and upbeat, which is not normally a problem for me.

Here are my symptomes:

1. Arrythmia (heart beats irregularly from time to time)
2. Slight dizzyness but not balance releated. I have better than average balance, but still feel slightly dizzy. Its like how one feels after being out of anethesia for about an hour.
3. Slight burning in my left thumb and forefinger. It feels slightly less painful than a first degree burn. Under hot water, my left thumb and finger are noticeably more agitated than my right hand.
4. Sparatic nausia
5. Front left tooth and upper left gums slightly numb/tingly
6. Sparatic mind focus issues. From time to time, it seems much harder than normal to fucus or solve a problem. This has happened 6 times where I noticed it.
7. The left side of my tongue feels like I burned it via drinking too hot of hot coco.
8. I got emotional in Tim Alans latest Santa Movie. Highly unusual for me. My wife thinks its great though.
9. 9/10 of the time my blood pressure is perfect, however twice, I have had blood pressure of 140/90 which is up from my normal 113/68 for no apparent reason.
10. I have had lower back and hip pain, but I don't think it is related.

I have been told that my heart rate and blood pressure are usually perfect. I passed all the stroke IQ & problem solving tests. My colesteral is perfect. I passed a Heart Stress Test with flying colors, I do not have MS, I have had several MRIs and chest Xrays and don't have any abnormal growths. I have not had a stroke. My EKG came back normal. My thyroid test came back normal. I don't believe I'm in denial about the amount of stress I'm under, which I would say is about a 6 out of a possible off-the-chart 10. I have been suffering all these symptoms while I have been writing this.

If there is some kind, well informed, soul that could point me in the right direction, I would be forever in your debt. This symptoms seem to be getting a little bit worse every week.

Hmm, well you seem to be on the right track getting all that stuff ruled out. But along with work, you should understand you have the stress of trying to figure out what is going on with you as well, but this in itself maybe be completely irrelvant. The thing you should know about Anxiety though is that it does NOT always relate to a situation. It just happens, not because of anything you did or because of a situation, it just happens for no apparent reason. So to rule it out, you could see about getting something like valium or some other anti-anxiety type of med, in this way if you start to have one of those episoides, see if the medicine helps it subside. If this doesn't do the trick, then you could explore other medicines, or start looking for another diagnosis again. Anxiety can mimic a lot of stuff and can be EXTREAMLY scarry, especially if it becomes panic. Some people become worried that they have a tumor, but it turns out it was anxiety, even though its nice to get the tumor part ruled out, but as it seems you've already had an MRI of your head, that probably would not be your case.

If you really want to get comprehensive, you could also see some sort of specialist who does labs to look at your blood chemistry... Your primary physician could order some.. In this way he/she could look at your levels and determine if you are lacking in any way, and also look for auto immune diseases and so forth. You could also see an Internal Medince doc or one of Internal medicine subspecialites like a Rheumatoligst. I would not think it would be cancer, but if you really start grasping for straws you could get tests done to rule that out with an oncologist. You can always re-pursue cardologists and neurologists as you seem to have been.

Have you ruled out Diabieties? Had your blood sugar checked? There are various kinds of diabieties, so you could have that ruled out as well.

I hope this helps, hopefully its something simple and not complicated, even though the simple problems give us such complications sometimes  . Good Luck to you and God Bless!

The other thing is... with the numbness issues...

Have they done an MRI on your neck to check for Spine problems? many times numbness comes from problems in the neck... Also numbness can be a concern for something going on in arteries... An MRA (a is for angio) of the Neck and Head would look at things going on there that could cause the numbness.. such as problems with the carotid arteries - but as you had stroke ruled out, I'm thinking you may have had that done already, but if not, might not be a bad thing to ruled out.

Hi Browncow...

I too would look into a cervical (neck) MRI if you haven't done so. I had a rupture 15 months ago in my neck. I am now dealing with a myriad of neurological problems - pretty much body wide...which have not been pinpointed to my neck...yet. But I suspect after all the crazy testing (all of which has been "normal" so far)...my neck may be the culprit. I too always had low BP...now it's high...not to mention the laundry list of other problems which I won't go into...though numbness/tingling are certainly one of them. It's worth a look anyway. Good luck, keep us posted. Mona
