I have suffered really bad acid refux to the extent it has given me an asthma attack (several times). The burning sensation of the acid is unreal. I have even tried to make myself sick to stop it. I have been given gaviscon plus. The acid goes oh thankyou and seems to chomp through it.
I have had two endoscopys which are not very pleasent to say the least. It showed I have a Hiatus Hernia + my stomoch spincter muscle which stops the food coming back up is very week hense the reflux. I am on 30mg of Lansoprazole three times a day. The chemist has told me I am on an almighty dangerous dose. I recently moved and changed doctors who refused to believe that I was on such a high dose and dropped it down to 20mg. I now feel terrible and don't know who to turn to.
