i see a lot of people posting about "calorie intake" for help with weight loss and i was wondering how it works? i dont really get it :(

calorie intake just means the food that you eat. the calories that you are putting into your body. if that number exceeds the amount you burn up then you will put on weight. if it is less than the amount you burn up then you will lose weight

1 pound is equal to 3500 cals. Your body burns some cals just by you breathing and for brain function but exercise is great cause you burn cals. you need a neg cal amount intake compared to what you are eating now to lose weight and if you eat more you gain. If you exercise and have more muscle tone you burn more calories at rest than someone who has a low amount of muscle. That is why even light weight lifting is important.
