Has anyone of you have ear pressure due to GERD? Mine is like air inside that just cant go out! I will try swallowing but in just matter of minutes its back again! its so annoying... I also have tons of headache and my eyesight is just so bad. my throat hurts so much. but the air inside my ear is really scary at times.. sometimes i feel like I am drowning of air. Doea anyone experience this? and is it stilnormal for GERD? thanks

I have the ear pressure, and I have not found anything that helps it.

The sore throat seems to go along with the ear problem. If my reflux is bad enough, a loud roaring starts shortly thereafter.

I have to really work at not allowing it to drive me crazy.

I can understand how you feel and I sympathize.

I was about to do a post about this...and quite interstingly I saw your post here..

I have the ear pressure too. Actually, I had all the hearing tests done a while back and everything came back normal. I visited the denstist as well, and a TMJ dentist as well. Nothing serious..

I am on Prilosec OTC once a day and seems like it does no good. I am doing a lot of reading related to GERD and came across this interesting article which says about "Fluid and Sinuses in the middle ear as the throat communicates with the nasal passages" and this accumilation can cause discomfort in the ears..I cannot post the link as it is against the board rules but you can google for "Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease"
But I want to tell that there is definetely a connection here..

Thanks for the info.. yeah I notice that whenver my ear feels so bad my post nasal drip as just as bad! Its just literally dripping at the back of my throat! No matter how I try to blow it out it wont come out. :dizzy: Think this is LPR.. I ma scared that it will develop into something serius after sometime... what do u guys think? thanks again for the replies..:)
