I have had chronic yeast infections for a couple of years now. all the doctors want to do is put me on diflucan, which gets rid of it for a while, but then it comes back, sometimes a week later.

I can't go on the "candida diet" (too much of a sweet tooth) i know yeast feeds off of sugar. I have tried acidophilus and other herbs such as olive leaf extract. It helps temporarily, but if I stop taking it, the infections come back.

Was on Birth control for about 7 years. I just recently decided I didn't want to take it any more and it's been about a month since I have stopped taking it.

Should the yeast infections improve after I've been off the BC for a while? Or should i really force myself to go on the candida diet ..eww i don't want to think about that....

If you totally want to get rid of the yeast..try to limit your sugar amounts..and/or any foods you are allergic too.

I suffer from Chronic yeast too.. I'm using a homeopathic remedy called Yeast Arrest to get rid of my yeast..it works...but it only gets rid of the symptoms..once I go off of it..a few days later my yeast will flare up.
