Unlikely, but to ensure you don't end up with an unwanted pregnancy, make sure you take appropriate precautions in future. If you don't wanna be a Momma just yet, it's not worth the risk. :)

You can get pregnant ANY time of the month. While it's true that the most common time to get pregnant for most women is about halfway through the cycle, you CAN get pregnant ANY DAY of your cycle!! The odds of you becoming PG during your AF though are less. But if it worries you, now that you know that you CAN become pregnant on those days, then DON'T take the chance. use protection, condom AND birth control pills, and be wise. Become knowledgeable!! ;)

The whole reason you get your period is to get rid of the egg(s) that were getting ready for pregnancy when you were ovulating. If the egg was gone when you had sex..there's no chance..seeing how you aren't fertile.
Even when there is still an egg during your period..it's rare for a woman to get preggers while having her period. Rare or not..use protection. =)

You do not get rid of eggs when you have your period.
Most women have their period every 28 days. You ovulate about 14 days after the first day of your period and can be fertile for up to a week. Then if you do not become prego you have a period about 14 days later to shed the linning of your uterus that builds up to support a pregnancy if the egg gets feralized. But you should still play it safe and protect yourself from any unwanted babies or worse....cooties.

You can get pregnant during your period. And it only takes one time.
I have a friend with a 15-year-old son. She's a single mom. She got pregnant after her first time.
But you're probably fine. Use protection from now on no matter when you do it. Then you'll play an active roll in avoiding unwanted pregnancy and STDs.

I know someone who got pregnant with triplets their first time. But as for conceiving during your period...in very quick terms if there is no egg availble you can NOT become pregnant. Period is basically the breaking down and clearing out of your Uterus, this means the egg has gone and there is not one avaiable for fertilization. But if you had break through ovulation (very unlikely during period) then you could become pregnant and there is a 0.5% chance in this situation which is less than 1%.

And if you did conceive one day before your period this could easily be confused as conceiving during your period. So I wouldn't worry but take Plan B pill or use protection and you're be ok hun.

Fertilazation takes place in the tubes where conception can happen anytime you ovulate which varies from woman to woman......if you have sex during AF and its the latter part of your cycle and your started ovulation there is a chance you could get pregnant but that would be a Slim chance....... just be careful at all times if you don't won't to become pregnant.........Dee:angel:
