View Full Version : PLEASE tell me... what are the chances...

I have posted here before, because I have had a swollen lymph node in the right side of my neck for over a month now. I have seen my doctor 3 times for this, and she doesn't seem concerned. She did give me a round of Keflex antibiotics however, and that didn't change the lump at all... so now I have an appt with an ENT tomorrow afternoon.

This past week, I have had both a cold, and a stomach virus. And I have noticed the lump changing... getting much bigger, and harder, and at times sore. Could this be associated with my illness... or is it something more than that?

For those of you who have dealt with this, what will the ENT do tomorrow? What kinds of questions should I ask? And what are the chances that this one lymph node (I have not found any others that are swollen) could mean something? I have been so scared and anxious and depressed about this.

Thank you for reading this.

Hey Jen

I know it's tough but try not to worry.

If you try to self diagnose you'll just end up scaring yourself - probably unecessarily!!!

The lumps could well be your lymph nodes up fighting your cold and stomach virus.

Let us know how it goes

Take Care of yourself

Ails xx
