My 10 yr old daughter has one on the bottom of her foot so after advice from
pharmacist we put a drop of Occlusal (Salicylic Acid 26%) on it one night
before bed. Following night I repeated the treatment. Well that was a week
ago and since then (due to forgetting)I have not applied the solution BUT
the verruca (or rather the surrounding skin) has slowly swollen up like a
big white lump say the size of a hazelnut maybe even slightly bigger :-((.

Poor girl cannot bear any weight nor even walk. Went back to the pharmacist
who suggested giving her Piriton (antihistamine) for the swelling but I just
wonder if anyone has had this happen before, say as a reaction to the
salycilic acid? Or can verrucas swell like this?? Darling babe thinks her
foot needs to be amputated -stupid husband joke !!
