This month of my period (today is day 3) I passed my second blood clot. The first was on my first day. My period is very mild. It's normal bleeding. I don't have any pain. My mother told me it was because I got cold. I haven't passed one in over than a year or so. Probably twice in my whole life this has happened. I'm 30 years old. Should I be worried about anything?

Hey Hope,
You have nothing to worry about. Your having clots because of your period and that's it. So please don't worry.
If your worried and get more then please go and see your doctor x

And clots are normal, and usually occur when bleeding is heavier.

Thank you. I try to eat healthy, though I think I'm a bit under weight (I'm 120 pounds, 5.5 feet tall.)
Just curious, I know eating healthy plays a significant role in just about everything in life, but when are clots something to be worried about? And what are they exactly? I mean in terms of substance...body tissue?

clots are normal to a certain degree, however, if they become excessive (about 2 months ago I passed 8-10 golfball size in one day) then you will want to go to your OBGYN. It turned out I had fibroids and a thickened lining of the uterus which explained my clots. I am having a D&C done this month which should take care of the issue.
Just keep an eye on them. if it's a couple a day or so no need to worry.
