Can anyone tell me about this condition? I have been feeling dizzy the last few days when i move my head mostly. This is the worst feeling i have ever had. I went to the doctor today she said this is what it is and put me on Amoxicillan and gave me some other medicine but i cant take it. I told her i cant have antihistimines and she gave me this med and when i got it filled i read that it is an antihistime. I take ativan as needed and i was reading where this can help also, has anyone been told that or used it to help with the dizziness?

Confused32,
You may like to try taking a couple of doses of Aurum metallicum 30c. Aurum Metallicum 30c is a homeopathic preparation from Gold by attenuating it ten to power 30 times. It has been used quite successfully in labyrinthine inflammation with the dizziness on turning the head. It should be avialble at any healthfood store locally or on the web homeo stoes. Hope this helps

confused,
my doctor put me on ativan for my dizziness/the anxiety that comes with the dizziness. Ativan is a central nervous system depressant that is usually prescribed as an anti-anxiety med, but is also perscribed to 'calm down' the inner ear in people who have labs/vn, etc...it has helped me with the dizziness, but the only problem is, when u start to wean off of it, your dizzy symptoms may feel a little worse at times because your CNS (brain) has to get used to not relying on the meds to compensate for the dizziness. Overall, i would say it has helped me, and i am weaning off of it right now. When i decrease the dose, i usually feel dizzier for a week or two but then i start to compensate again. Keep in mind that diffent things work for different people, its all about finding what is right for u.
