March 2000 newspaper article about U of Pittsburg study of GNDF found to help movement and tremor of PD. Further study was pending. Has anyone heard more recent news on GNDF?

I saw GNDF mentioned in low calorie diet in mouse study produced GNDF
and appears to head off Parkinsons. Anyone have recent info on GNDF?
