Hopefully someone can set me straight here. Two days ago, I noticed a couple of tiny ( not bigger than the ball point of a pen ) scabs on the upper shaft of my penis. My first thought was of dread, as I was immediately thinking it was herpes. However, in the examination of the area, the scabs were not pronounced or causing pain, and the immediate area near them exhibited signs of dry skin ( white flakes of dead skin ). Also, I read that herpes shows up 2 to 20 days after contact ( sadly, it's been at least 4 to 5 months since my last sexual contact ), plus, if this was indeed my first outbreak, you'd think I would have noticed blisters way before I saw the scabs. At any rate, i've come to the conclusion that I just irritated that area and broke the skin layer ( i tend to masterbate dry ). Am I right in this judgement, or rather, how likely is one or the other?
