Hi Gloria,
I'm not sure how often you check these boards, but I've been wondering how you are feeling lately?

Hope you are doing well.

Hi Joy,

I just saw your message. Thanks for thinking of me. I try not to log on here on a regular basis for mental reasons.

I'm up and down. Severe headpain seems to have improved over the years, but still get daily headaches/pressure or just plain weirdness (not sure how to describe this feeling). I've been coming off the klonopin since Sept. 1st and am almost off it. I do notice some funky ear stuff for about 2 weeks after I taper down so I'm figuring its from adjusting to the decrease in meds. I still get dizzy on and off but it isn't 24/7 anymore. My head feels weird 24/7 however; wish that would go to, but maybe with time it will. I try not to get myself frustrated with this and go with the flow, but sometimes it is easier said than done.

I'll be glad when Spring comes around again. I'm tired of battling winter viruses.

Sounds like you are doing pretty good. When you say you've been pretty good with your ears, does that mean you go for periods of time feeling 100%? That would be great if I am reading into your posts right. I always think of what you told me when we first met and that is that yours went away and you felt 100% fine for 4 years. It would be wonderful to have a little break even if it where just for a little while. I can't take this everyday sick stuff anymore. I do my best to try and ignore it when it is at its minimal.

So how much more schooling before I can make an appointment with you for therapy?;) Sounds like you are doing well with it and it has helped to take your mind off things. Any new guys in your life or are you still just putting that on hold for awhile? Did you start semester break yet? Hopefully you can relax to gear up for the next semester.

It was nice chatting with you again....hope you are still doing well when you read this.

Hugs,
Gloria

Hi Gloria,
Sounds like the improvements are coming for you! I know it's fustrating when it's slow, but hang on to the fact that they are coming. That's good!
I'm hanging in there pretty well. My ears act up here and there, but so far nothing major since I started my break from school. makes me think they act up due to the stress of school. The tinnitus, is off and on, and when it is here, it's not too bad. So I'm doing okay with that. I'm really hoping one day it will just go away. Sometimes I freak out and start wondering what if the noises get worse, but I try not to let myself go there.

How is your tinnitus? I know it was a major problem for you. Is it any better? I really hope it is. It was great to hear from you. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
Hugs,
Joy

Hi Joy,

Tinnitus still there and still loud for me....probably worse for me than the dizziness. I'm looking into Tinnitus Retraining Therapy to help me cope with it better.

Wanted to tell you that most research points to statistics that the tinnitus vary rarely gets worse with time only better. Therefore, I wouldn't worry yourself about it getting worse. The other good thing is that statistic show that people with on and off tinnitus have a greater chance of it disapating 100%. I''m glad it doesn't bother you too much.

Relax while on break and have a great holiday....Will chat again soon - Gloria
