I've posted a couple of times here... worried about a swollen lymph node in my jaw/neck area.
I finally saw the ENT yesterday, and he has ordered me a CT scan, tomorrow afternoon. While I am scared about the results, he did say he doesn't *think* it's going to turn up anything to worry about... he actually thinks what we're feeling *may* be a salivary gland, rather than a lymph node?
So, my question is this... I've seen so many posts here about a biopsy being the only way to tell for sure... is this true? If so, then why am I having the CT scan done? The ENT said it would give me peace of mind to have the CT scan done... then we'll know. So, do I need to push for a biopsy? Or is the CT scan enough to tell us what's going on?
Thanks you guys. You've all been so helpful this past month. I really appreciate it.
