Hi I'm 37 years old and for the past 4 months I've had a headache which is on the top right of my head. It has made it so I have had to have my hair cut shorter as when I dry it I end up in pain from rubbing my head, it is so tender in that area.

I have passed out 3 times now, each time when my head is on the side, right hand. I have dizziness etc. It feels like there is pressue at the back of my eye. the pain is worse on activity, coughing, sneezing etc

I wake up with these headaches, they come and go throughout the day and I fall asleep with them again, they even wake me up in my sleep.

Firstly i had a CT scan which came back with no abnormalities - the neurologist found out my hubby is disabled and said "I think you are depressed", my GP thinks this is a load of rubbish and says I'm not depressed, just in pain. Then an opthalmologist saw me today and said there was no problems again. My GP suggested temporal arteritis as my ESR (SED) reading was 28. But the opthalmologist said this wasn't even high and could find no signs of problem in the temples. He thinks the blurred vision is when the pain is excruciating and it causes me to not be able to see properly.

I also suffer from underactive thyroid and high blood pressure both medicated and the conditions are well controlled.

Does anyone have any advice for me as I am so fed up of the pain and not being able to see properly.

Jackie xx

I am by no means an expert, but I think an MRI is in order. I hope you can get feeling better soon.
