I am new to this message board and am learning new things about me everyday. I have been diagnosed with OCD and Depression, I was wondering if anxiety is also in my make?

I have an impossible time talking to people. Talking to people at work is impossible but it is easier to talk to direct peers.

Even talking to my family is a little tough. I have almost no problem with my wife, but have some difficulty with my 21 year old son.

People I have known as aquaintances are very tough or impossible to talk with. I have difficutly looking them in the eyes or just talking. I make excuses to leave or I talk at them instead of to them.

Does this sound like anxiety, OCD or depression? Maybe it is all of the above?

 Hi Dantheinsane

Actually, it sounds like you are extremely shy or have a fear of intimacy that can probably provoke anxiety when you are in or apprehensive about being in a situation that will require you to interact closely with people.

I'd talk to a counselor and get to the root of it or at least correctly identify what causes you to have difficulty. The anxiety is a symptom or bi-product so to speak.

Good luck

I’m exactly the same way. I always fear people think I’m rude or have an “I’m better then you” attitude. The truth is I would love to be able to converse and have good relationships with these people. I think the name for this is “Social anxiety”.

Thank you both for your input. It will and has helped me in my search for the answers to my troubled soul. I will bring it up with my therapist as soon as I see him.
