About 3years ago i was attacked after having a CT scan i was told things were ok even my memory is very bad, problems sleeping, get confused to easy too

last year i seen a neurologist who blamed it on stress which i quickly dismissed because it seems what all doctors seem to say so i got a second opinon i had a MRI and it came back as fine but i was told brusing to the brain which the MRI cant pick up

So then i saw someone later in the year for neuropsychology who did memory tests which came back as
Memory Test 1 - Fail
Memory Test 2 - Fail
Memory Test 3 - Warning
Memory Test 4 - Fail

But my question really is because i was told i have bad anxiety which in recent weeks had the doseage upped of my dosulepin (was 75mg now 100mg) but im being told anxiety causes memory loss but before the attack i was quite anxious anyway my memory was normal

But 3years later i just seem to be going worse and now im hooked on this dosulpin because without it i cant sleep as it makes me drowsy but has the side effect of making me drowsy 24/7 my brain just seems unable to process information fully but im just being told to see a physiologist which ive been waiting for 2years for

What can be done or can i do because i dont think this is all down to anexity i also know my brain isnt damaged but its not functioning 100% for sure

I'm sorry this is happening to you, I don't know what to say in your matter, however, I'm curious as to if they have ever done an EEG on you before so as to look at your brain waves... I'm partly suspicious that perhaps the attack did something to alter the brain wave pattern and might be able to be treated as something like epilepsy (seizures) ... I could be wrong, I really don't know, but it might be worth suggesting to your doctor to have ruled out as a factor. Spinal tap might be also something to rule out certain problems. Otherwise the only other thing I can suggest is getting an MRI of you neck and an MRA of your head and neck to look at the arteries in your brain and neck. This way you can rule out things like stroke, among many other things as well. If you really want to get extensive, you could consider seeing a cardiologist as well to see if any of these symptoms could be related to that. I'm no expert in this stuff so take it as you feel might be helpful, I'm just throwing things out there for you in case something helps. Good luck to you and God Bless! I hope things get figured out soon!

Hi thanks for the reply yes they were going to do a an EEG but nothing ever came of it the neurologist said that its "not required" but i might ring my doctors and see if i can force an EEG as doctors have suggested it in the past
