I got my test results back from my ultrasound and hida scan and the report showed that my gallbladder had an ejection rate of only 22%. The normal rate is above 35% so it demonstrates that the problems I have been having (acid reflus like symptoms and horrible bad breath) may be a result of food emptying my system at a very slow rate.
I've been searching the net yet I am still confused how to fix this. I don't want to have my gallbladder removed if I don't have to but I am unsure what treatment is available. Has anyone ever had this problem? Can anyone shed light of this problem as well?

I have been having problems that I believe are related to my gall bladder, even though I have been treated for acid reflux for 4 months. I am having the tests you had this week.
I have been told that if your gall bladder is malfunctioning, there is nothing that they can do for it. Gall stones are possibly treatable but a malfunctioning bladder is not.
That is what I have been told anyway. I may be facing the same decision you are right now by the end of this week. My dad, brother, and sister all had their gall bladders removed and all are doing well, no problems.
Hope this helps, sorry I cannot be more specific.
