My blood tests came back and HSV 1 & 2 were the reasons for my throat and fever afterall. I have had HSV for 4 years now, but did not get a clear answer that fever could be behind it.
Always check with your doctor, do not rely on opinions and suggestions alone.
I had a past HSV 1 & 2 infection in throat and a present one.
So for anyone who wants to know, even though not everything can be linked to HSV - My fever and throat infection were according to my blood test I got back today.

There was a documentary on tv about something totally unrelated to herpes, but interestingly enough a doctor spoke of a patient with a throat infection related to oral sex and then i remembered reading something on here.

The doctor referred to it as gonococcal pharyngitis which occurs due to oral sex with someone who has an infection as a result of bacteria. You can probably google it for more info. I just thought your condition could maybe be linked to something else, even though you are positive for herpes as your case is the first i've read about involving fever and the particular throat condition you have had.
