I have accepted the fact that I tested positive for the virus. I know if you have it you have it. I'm just curious about the levels of the virus. Could someone have a stronger strain of the virus, therefore causing more outbreaks? I have never had a visible outbreak and wonder if I should start Valtrex or just add Vitamin C and various immune boosters to my daily regimine.

Post your results if you can, line for line.

The idea of catching a stronger viral load from someone else, when you have a preexisting case, is known as a super infection. I think you'll find few if any documented cases where this has happened. The reason being if a normal body already has the antibodies, then it will have no problem fighting off more of the virus.

One person having an outbreak won't cause an outbreak in the other. However, friction from intercourse will.

Taking Valtrex is a personal decision, it has been shown to reduce shedding.

You'll read stories all over where someone didn't have noticeable outbreaks for years then bam, outbreaks every other month for a while. Which goes to proves, this virus has a mind of its own and acts differently for everyone.
