Hi, im hoping someone can help me.. I think its nothing but decided to go to forums and ask just in case..

I just recently noticed that my upper body (pretty much on my shoulders, only down to my chest and same distance at the back) I noticed some patches of dry skin. I found some big ones, and some small ones.. The big ones are the size of I guess the hole you make with your index finger hitting the base of your thumb, and small ones look like an insect bite..
these are redish marks, not itchy, but have a layer of dry skin on it which i can rub/peel off.. and i can see the skin change (like what you normally see on healed skin: creases on the healing area).. i also noticed that there are little bumps that look like what you might call pimples, but extremely small.. theres like five in a small area..

My initial guess is that it is some insect bite of some sort.. Or I guess I just came in contact with someting and that its just a rash that will go away..

Its just dry skin, I guess it is a lil bumpy rather than just dry smooth flaky skin..

anyone able to tell me what it could be? i checked some herpes sites, and i dont have like 90% of its symptoms.. or maybe im not looking hard enough :S any questions or answers would be great, im sorry if i couldnt explain too clearly..

A blood test should tell if you have the herpes virus.......it can come back negative and you can still have it, but if it comes back positive.........YOU KNOW you have it. I wouldn't mess around, I'd get myself to the doctors and get tested. If you have open sores they can also do a culture on them as well. However, they cultured my sore and it came back negative. My doctor said I don't care what the culture says, 'you have herpes'. Just last week I had a blood test to test for all STD's before I start a new relationship and was shocked that the blood test came back positive for Herpes. I don't have a clue how long I have been carrying the virus in my body. Good luck.

What would constitute as a sore? i mean it looked like i burned myself, and it was just healing back.
